Norelco offers a new-generation flush-mounted and hand-foldable enclosure for electric switchboards

Norelco has developed a unique hand-foldable flush-mounted enclosure for installations in Norelco ANU distribution panels and apartment distribution cabinets.

The flush-mounted enclosures of the new generation are manufactured and delivered to the customer’s worksite as foldable flat units, bringing significant savings: for example, whereas transporting 150 flush-mounted enclosures previously required five Euro pallets, the same delivery now fits on a single pallet. Thanks to this, the foldable flush-mounted enclosure saves transportation costs and also reduces the carbon footprint during shipping. 

Storing enclosures delivered as foldable flat units takes up much less space on the worksite, and transferring them on the worksite is also much more convenient than hauling around assembled enclosures. 

The flush-mounted enclosure, a Norelco innovation, is suitable for installation in Norelco ANU distribution panels and their apartment distribution cabinets. 

Flush-mounted enclosure folds installation-ready in 15 seconds

Installing an ANU 3.5 SL distribution panel is quick and easy: simply fold the flush-mounted enclosure into shape by hand, without any tools. This takes less than 15 seconds. The SL models of the ANU product family now also feature cabling flanges instead of distribution board bushes, which makes the installation work even easier.

Flush-mounted enclosures and distribution panels are first delivered to the worksite, after which the cables are laid into the distribution panel, the fittings are installed and the panel is protected by covering the opening, for instance, with plastic. The protective door is installed only when live voltage is connected to the cabinet. 

While previously the protective door arrived on the worksite in the same box as the distribution panel, now the panel housing and door are delivered in separate packs, and the door is placed in storage to await shipping. The covers are not shipped to the installation site until the finishing stages, which improves safety at the worksite.
