Foldable flush-mounting enclosure as standard – Norelco makes construction sites smoother and more sustainable

Norelco has taken concrete steps toward more efficient and sustainable construction: all ANU distribution panels and distribution cabinets are now delivered with next-generation foldable flush-mounting enclosures. This solution has become a standard part of Norelco’s delivery process and makes everyday work on construction sites easier.

Sustainability and speed on site

The foldable enclosures are delivered to the site as flat sheets, significantly reducing transport costs and carbon footprint. For example, transporting 150 enclosures used to require five-euro pallets – now the same quantity fits on just one pallet.

On-site, the enclosures take up less space and are easy to store. Installation is quick: the enclosure is folded by hand into its final shape completely without tools in just 15 seconds.

Additionally, the SL models in the ANU product family now use swivel flanges instead of traditional central stubs, making installation even smoother.

“Our customers have been very pleased with the ease and savings brought by the new enclosure solution. This is a concrete example of how even small changes can bring significant benefits on site,” says Product Manager Jarkko Latonummi.

Safety and efficiency in the installation process

The updated delivery process also improves site safety. The electrical distribution frame and protective door are now delivered in separate packages. The board can be installed and wired without rush, and the protective door is installed only at the final stage of the work, when voltage is activated. This reduces the risk of damage and improves occupational safety.
