City and regional representatives visit Norelco

Representatives of the City of Savonlinna and the Regional Council of South Savo visited Norelco on Thursday for a familiarisation visit, during which the company’s operations and production were introduced and current development topics were discussed.

During the visit, discussions covered, among other things, Norelco’s growth programme as well as its diverse and inclusive corporate culture. The guests also had the opportunity to tour Norelco’s production facilities and learn how the company responds to the increasing demands of power distribution and the changing needs of its customers.

Broader themes were also raised in the discussions, including the vitality of the Savonlinna region, the operating conditions for businesses, and regional development. A shared view highlighted the importance of cooperation between companies, the city and the region in promoting sustainable growth and development in the area.

Norelco’s CEO, Ari Hämäläinen, considers the visit an important part of dialogue and strengthening cooperation. “ It is valuable for city and regional representatives to learn about our operations first-hand. Open discussion about growth, corporate culture and regional development creates a strong foundation for long-term cooperation and for strengthening the overall vitality of the Savonlinna region,” Hämäläinen says.

The visit was attended by Mayor of Savonlinna City Ding Ma, Regional Mayor of South Savo Heini Utunen, and Anna Astikainen from the Savonlinna region employment services.
