Norelco power factor correction (PFC) systems with blocking filters are available in two versions:

• floor-mounted PFC filter NACBL
• wall-mounted PFC filter NACBR+L

Norelco compensation systems require no special start-up procedures at the worksite, since the systems use a modern microprocessor-based controller with ready factory-set parameters.

The PFC compensation systems also include versions for outdoor installation.

NACBL with the best operating and installation features

The Norelco NACBL compensation system has a cassette structure, where the contactor, fuses, capacitors and inductance of each step is placed in a separate cassette module. Due to the cassette structure it is extremely easy to change, remove and maintain each compensation step. During the installation stage the cassettes can be removed from the system, e,g, when hauling the cabinet in stairs and other difficult places The cassettes of the compensation system are available in sizes 12.5, 25 or 50 kVAr. One cabinet can have a maximum of six cassettes. Despite of its advanced structure, by its size NACBL is one of the smallest systems on the market, requiring extremely little floor space.

Inductances prevent the harmonics in the network from accessing the capacitors. The tuning frequency is as a standard 189 Hz, optionally 131 Hz. Capacitors are gas-insulated and self-healing three phase capacitors.

The NACBL compensation system also includes forced air cooling, which is executed by means of a thermostat controlled fan.

NACBL compensation systems are delivered as standard cabinets for capacities ranging from 100 to 300 kVAr. By parallel connection of several cabinets the compensation capacity of the system can be increased infinitely. The feeding direction can be selected, either from the top or bottom. Compensation systems can also be integrated with the main distribution board in the factory, which will help save time and money at the worksite.

NACBR+L is a compact compensation package

The wall-mounted NACBR+L blocking filter is implemented as a centralized structure. It is easy to install. The steps of the compensation system come in sizes 12.5, 25 or 50 kVAr.
