The City of Savonlinna and the Savonlinna Region Entrepreneurs have jointly awarded the Innovation Prize to Norelco Oy on Saturday, 24 January 2026

“In recent years, Norelco has invested significantly in innovative leadership practices, production methods, production facilities and internationalisation. At Norelco, quality is built into the operating processes so that the processes themselves guide the work towards top level results,” says Juha-Pekka Mikkonen, Chair of the Savonlinna Region Entrepreneurs.

“The combination of Norelco’s high-quality products, extensive product range and diverse customer base forms a remarkable, more than 60 year story of this family business from Savonlinna,” note Business Services Director Juha Turtiainen and Business Development Manager Janne Tarima.

“We at Norelco are very happy and grateful for this recognition. In recent years, we have systematically developed our production and management practices and introduced new solutions to the market. The utilisation of AI in our core processes is also one example of this progress,” says CEO Ari Hämäläinen. “This award is an important acknowledgement for our employees and strengthens our belief that we are on the right path. We will continue our development work and focus especially on advancing our management system, product development, service design and the broader use of artificial intelligence.”
