For years, Norelco has been Sensio’s preferred switchgear supplier for its electrical projects.

“Norelco is a reliable partner and, most importantly, the company’s products are of high quality and there are no claims. Everything just works,” Sensio’s Managing Director Jani Sensio says.

According to Sensio, costs and the capability to supply tailored solutions affect the choice of suppliers, in addition to reliability and quality.

“We have many sites with special requirements in terms of the electrical work. Norelco is able to execute the orders flexibly to customers’ specifications.”

FINNISH PARTNER THAT ADAPTS TO CHANGES

According to Sensio, changes are often made to ongoing projects. Responding to change requirements calls for flexibility and agility from the supplier.

“The customer often makes changes midway through the project. In situations like this, having Finnish partners is key. I don’t think you would be able to respond to changes, if you had a foreign partner,” Sensio points out.

Norelco’s capability to react to changes is supported by the fact that the company manufactures the parts required for its products largely by itself.

NORELCO’S SERVICES SAVE TIME ON SITE

In addition to power distribution systems, Norelco provides broad services from fuse labelling to installations. Sensio Oy installs the products delivered by Norelco primarily itself, with the exception of busbar trunking systems, but makes use of many other Norelco services that speed up the work at the site.

“In our projects, Norelco is in charge of the overall delivery as well as fuse and other labelling and furnishing the fuses. This is cost effective,” Sensio says.

SENSIO WORKS ON NEW MENTAL HEALTH AND REHABILITATION CENTRE – NORELCO SUPPLIES SWITCHGEARS AS FULL-SCOPE DELIVERY

Sensio Oy is in charge of the electrical work at Mielen ja kuntoutuksen talo, the new mental health and rehabilitation centre in Mikkeli. Norelco’s involvement in the project includes a full-scope switchgear delivery and MV switchgear installation work. The company will also supply the protective relays and switches fully configured and tested as performing this work in the factory makes more sense than performing it at the worksite.

“It makes our life easier since we can trust Norelco to deliver the products it has promised when it has promised,” Sensio concludes.
