Norelco’s power distribution systems play a major role in OOMI’s solar power and electric mobility solutions

Oomi’s Procurement and Development Manager Arttu Raitala has a couple of years’ experience of co-operation with Norelco. Norelco has been supplying the Finnish electricity company Oomi with transformers for ground-mounted solar farms and feeder panels for charging stations, among other equipment. 

Oomi was established in 2020 when a few electricity companies from across Finland joined forces. Oomi is now one of the biggest energy providers and a leading solar power supplier in Finland. The company offers solar power solutions for both companies and consumers. The PV panels of large solar farms are often installed on the ground. These are known as ground-mounted solar farms.

Norelco has been a part of Oomi’s journey from the very beginning as a provider of, for example, transformers for large ground-mounted solar farms.

“The electro-technical solutions of ground-mounted solar farms require special competence, which Norelco has. There are not many operators in Finland that can offer solutions of this kind,” says Arttu Raitala, Oomi’s Procurement and Development Manager in the solar power and electric mobility business. 

Electric mobility services are also an integral part of Oomi’s offering. The company provides turn-key EV charging solutions for housing companies, homeowners and companies. Oomi has ordered especially feeder panels for companies’ EV charging stations from Norelco. 

Customer-oriented expert services 

Raitala is happy with the co-operation with Norelco that started in 2020. 

“Norelco has broad shoulders, and especially in large technical solutions the company is a good partner. They provide customer-oriented expert services and communication with them has been smooth,” Raitala praises the company. 

According to Raitala, Norelco’s engineers also visit completed sites to gain insight for the development and improvement of future projects.
