A large investment project has been carried out in the Norelco Savonlinna Factory.

The metal sheet production capacity was increased by a new working cell which comprises of a Finn-Power CNC-machine and a LUR robot. The CAD/CAM-system was also changed. This investment increases the metal sheet production capacity and gives new possibilities for product development.

A new production unit, next to the Savonlinna Factory, was purchased in the end of 2000. This unit is now in full production. All manufacturing of the medium voltage products, including the Norelco NPM transformer sub-stations and NorMega withdrawable circuit-breaker switchgear, is now made in this new unit.
